Thursday, the Rams signed another QB to compete for a roster spot. Already having Bulger, Frerotte, Fitzpatrick on the roster and Drew Tate, an undrafted FA, fighting for a spot,
the Rams went out and brought in Brock Berlin. Berlin has been in the league a few years and already has seen his share of teams as he just tries to stay on a roster. After being successful at the University of Miami, Berlin went undrafted in the 2005 NFL draft. He was signed by the dolphins right after the draft. He didn't manage to stay on the team's active roster during the season. He spent the offseason playing in NFL Europe for the Hamburg Sea Devils. As the 2006 season approached, Berlin tried to stay on the roster. He didn't see too much playing time in preseason and was cut on August 30, 2006. Right before the 2007 Draft the Cowboys decided to try him out and they gave him a contract. After the team drafted Isaiah Stanback from Washington, Berlin was cut on May 10th. The Rams are the newest team to give him a shot. It doesn't appear he will make the active roster in 2007, but if he looks impressive in training camp, he has a shot.
