It's down to less then a day before
Reggie spreads his wings and flies crazily about. The hardest part of QAing in our darkest hour is telling your dev guy he's writing bugs. I've tried lots of creative ways to pass on the bug news. The one that started out well was sticking post-its to the dog and sending him into the next room. But it didn't last when I found lost post-its stuck to the bottom of day old coffee mugs.I've also tried sharing a document on Google Docs in a list type format. That seemed to work for awhile but as the list got longer, as bugs lists do, it became harder to read what was fixed and still open and forget trying to prioritize. So it's back to bugzilla which overall works fine. Sometimes it feels like a place for bugs to go and die peacefully but at least at launch times, all bugs have equal opportunity to speak their mind. Our last project hit bugs in the 400s before launch. This one is in the 30s. I'll have to give that some thought tonight on why that is. On second thought, I'll postmortem that after we go live with Alpha. At least we've both agreed to say Alpha, Beta has to wait until 40 bugs.
