Got the heads up on a new widget called Linebuzz. It's a sort of instant comment where you will widget. Highlight any text on the page here and see what happens. Easier to quote Mark on this:No plugins, browser extensions or bookmarklets are required. LineBuzz works cross-browser and cross-OS and is installed by the blog author with a single line of Javascript.LineBuzz is great for long or complex blog entries that contain multiple points for discussion. Being able to reply inline adds context to each comment. It's a little like replying to someone's email by quoting their original message and adding your comments inline.Comments will show up no matter where they're posted. So if you post on the home page, you'll see your comments on the permalink page and in the archive
pages too - and vice-versa. You can also see who is commeting on your site and what comments you have left at the Linebuzz site. All with a bit of javascript. We like it. Following my Widget Sins post, they have promised to give us a customisable widget very soon - as you'll see, it's a bit of an ugly monster at the moment.Technorati Tags: linebuzz comments
