My 16 year old nephew started a summer internship with us a week ago. I'm blown away by how much energy this kid has. He's written 3 guides on how to install LineBuzz on various blogging platforms (see wiki.linebuzz.com). I haven't seen many teen interns in the software industry. Sure it takes a few years to become a programmer, but I think high energy and a strong desire to learn and prove themselves makes teens a great and underutilized resource.
