I am from Mexico and there are a lot of traditions like:DAYS OF THE DEAD: usually in this day some people spend the night with friends or loved ones that has passed away at the cemetery or just put them an altar with all kind of things that the loved one liked, also they put a pictures of the dead person. Some food feature of this day is the bread of dead (Pan de muertos). We celebrate this day in Nov 2nd.WEDDING: In Mexico a traditional couple getting married are sponsored financially by their godparent's, during the marriage a "lasso" (white ribbon or rosary) is wrapped around the necks couple which represents their joining. The groom has to gave his wife thirteen gold coins wich are blessed by the priest during the marriage ceremony, this represents that the groom is going to support his new wife.
And when the newleyweds leave the church the guests throw them some rice in sign of good luck.Another tradition is that we go to the church every December 12th to celebrates Saint Mary of Guadalupe's day and we pray for her and also for blessings for all our families.
