I just found Linebuzz, and I think it's great. I would love for it to be more customizable: - I'd like to be able to have it open to the side of my post as opposed to over or below it, - I'd like to be able to change the colors, embed images in the background etc. - I'd like to be able to set attributes and format the appearance of the widget itself, as well as the comment boxes. Don't get me wrong, this product is sheer genius, but I think it would be better the more tweakable it is. Additionally, you will be able to build a much bigger network of people who care and use it that way, fwiw.

How about measuring BOTH? Like a lot of people, I want to be more productive. Like a lot of people, I want to work less. RescueTime allows me to understand when I'm most productive and exactly how much time I spend NOT getting stuff done (but still feeling busy).
by webwright 23 months 19 days ago at "startups,...".
Not QUITE the same thing. Jettask doesn't break out web sites, which is critical for a lot of people. Knowing that I've spent 30% of my time in Firefox is fairly meaningless. Jettask also doesn't transcend a single install. What about multiple machines? Where does your data go when you buy your new machine? There are some other (pretty damn cool) features that we have in the pipe that simply aren't possible with a local-only app. Oh, and we're FREE. And you instantly get any bug fixes / new features... Gosh, are we still talking about why web software is cooler than installable stuff? In 2007? ;-)

Interesting article in the NYT today that talks about how the cost of patent litigation is outstripping patent profit. http://www.nytimes.com/2007/07/15/business/yourmoney/15proto.html/partner/rssnyt?_r=3&oref=slogin&oref=slogin&oref=slogin Not sure how I feel about patents... But I've never met an entrepreneur who was burned by NOT bothering to patent anything (though I've certainly read about 'em).

I agree this is oftentimes the case. It's pretty damn liberating to be small enough to not need a lot of structure. A wise man of Steele from MIT once said to me, "Yaw, that sounds great, but how does that work for BIG projects. Are you going to build an operating with 2-3 people?" He's dead on. But with the frameworks, libraries and turnkey hosting environments that are available nowadays, the percentage of startup ideas that can be done with a small team and a shoestring budget has gone WAY up. Three cheers for that!

Congrats on the launch- looks tight! The Linebuzz front page is about 8 billion percent cooler now that I can read it. It's actually a bit addictive. Man, your timespend is going to be frightening. I'm pretty sure all you do is code and visit Facebook. :-) Beta is VERY soon-- the app is pretty much done, we're just lagging a bit due to mediocre Rails sysadmin skillz. Ah, well.

Where's the CSS for LBACmnt? The link to the comment that you place on my page is hard to see in my color scheme. Do I just create my own style for the class or is there a place to define it? I looked at advanced mode but did not see it there.
by rickdog 25 months 4 days ago at "LineBuzz Changelog...".
There comments aren't sychronized in my blog - http://rickdog.terapad.com/index.cfm?fa=contentGeneric.cwjqvereoypbgmib&pageId=108438. They didn't start showing up in the widget until I posted several, now it only shows the third and fourth even though I've added six. All the comments show up on the linebuzz page though - http://linebuzz.com/rickdog

by xyDonkey 25 months 15 days ago at "Buzz This!".
The problem you mentioned also exsits in a traditional BBS forum. Really a trade off....But one sometimes may need to edit a post in the case of typos, grammer mistakes, or an updated idea.
by Kerry 25 months 15 days ago at "Buzz This!".
Thank you for the suggestions. #2 is straightforward. About #1, what about if someone has replied to your comment, should you still be able to edit it then? If so, the reply may not make sense or apply anymore. Maybe add the ability to edit comments unless someone has replied?
by xyDonkey 25 months 17 days ago at "Buzz This!".
Could you please try to add the following two features? 1 Edit the comment that one himself/herself have posted before. 2 Everytime when I logged on Linebuzz.com and found some new comments, I had to link to the original page (my own blog site) to reply the new comments posted on it. But I think it is FAR more convinient if I can just reply them in the linebuzz.com site.

Hello, there maybe a clash somewhere with your script and the TinyMCE Editor Javascript. I am using Simple Forum in my own hosted wordpress blog and it is not working right now, however i found it can be working well if i remove linebuzz javascript from my sidebar. I have check with Simple Forum developer, and he suggested me to check the compatibility between your javascript and TinyMCE. My url is http://clblog.net, please help, as i like both forum and linebuzz very much. Thank you.
by kmakice 25 months 20 days ago at "Buzz This!".
Are there ways to access the CSS? I have an issue with the links on one of my pages because they take on the characteristics of the block links from a list. I can make changes on my end to compensate, but if you could point me to a way to just override or custom-name CSS link behavior, that would be swell.

Internationalization, often called I18N (the 18 is the count of letters beween the leading I and the last letter N) takes the process of localization one step further. Rather than rework software, products and content for multiple languages and cultures, it makes sense to design and engineer them to accommodate various locales and languages. The Localization Industry Standards Association (LISA) defines I18N as: "...the process of generalizing a product so that it can handle multiple languages and cultural conventions without the need for re-design. Internationalization takes place at the level of program design and document development." A sample of the tasks involved in internationalization include: * creating language standards and style sheets, * designing software with proper encoding and interface standards, * establishing efficient update processes and workflow for web content, * designing appropriate documentation standards and templates, * developing graphics to ensure cultural acceptability and to handle graphic text translation effectively.

OK, I apologize, lagopi. I was q bit quick to judge. You aren't a whiner. You are, however, a much more content-worthy blogger to which Mark could have directed his readers. I'm just an idiot with a blogspot account and just enough programming knowledge to break stuff. That has to do with the options being passed to the flash object...I think that when the object tag (or embed tag...I would actually have to look at the source) you would need to pass in: wmode=transparent This allows dom objects to float above flash movies.
by lagopi 25 months 28 days ago at "Buzz This!".

It would be cool if you somehow aggregated comments from other blog entries that mention the same highlighted term... or something...just a hunch that aggregating in interesting ways could be a powerful feature
by jheitzeb 26 months 4 days ago at "Buzz This!".
Can you make it so the "enter your comment" ui shows up as soon as you highlight the text? that would be more discoverable.. It took me a while to figure out i needed to click the "comment inline" hyperlink to get to this pop-up.
by Kerry 26 months 4 days ago at "Buzz This!".
If LineBuzz comments aren't traditional, what are they? I looked up the antonym (opposite meaning for those of us who ditched or slept through English class) and came up with these: Antonyms: fresh, new, unusual, abnormal, unaccustomed, uncharacteristic, Bohemian, nonconforming, unconventional, untraditional, incautious, left-wing, liberal, progressive, radical, revolutionary, exotic, foreign, strange, uncommon, uncustomary, unorthodox, different, irregular, offbeat, unfamiliar Hmm, I really like nonconforming, radical, revolutionary and offbeat.

You make a really good point. Having worked at largish companies, I remember giving up countless weekends for a deadline which seemed so artificial. I did it to keep my boss happy, he/she did it to keep their boss happy and the CEO who owns .00000000000001% wants to keep the shareholders happy. With startups, your contribution (or lack of) is very noticable and measurable which is where some of that physic energy is probably derived.

I think engineers these days are a little jaded about fire drills after working at large companies. Places like Amazon or Microsoft demand that sort of thing constantly for things that don't personally matter to engineers (human lives vs. some profit that may or may not trickle down to your own stock options?). I do think entrepreneurship is a different story. With all the startups it seems like people are getting their psychic energy back.

I think locks on selections might not be properly released on errors. Repro: 1. Select text containing a link, try to comment on it. (get the error about not commenting on a link). 2. Select a subset of that text that does not contain a link. Get the error about someone else being busy commenting on that text. I went to the "Get Buzz'd" page and entered my blog url (http://blog.gorgorg.org). If I try to hit enter to submit, it goes to this url: http://linebuzz.com/getBuzzd/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fblog.gorgorg.org&advancedMode=0 and I get a "we encountered an error" popup (twice). If I click on the submit button it works fine.
by laurel 26 months 7 days ago at "LineBuzz Changelog...".
Ah, I see why. I was thinking about the sort of orthogonal feature where you're essentially making your own linkblog by commenting on things (like digg or bluedot), in which case more context might be useful.
by RyanKuykendall 26 months 7 days ago at "Buzz This!".

I've thought about this and part of the answer is not sweating the small stuff as much. Some bugs are forgiven especially at launch time as long as the overall experience is good. Another reason is the dev guy is quite seasoned now in releasing new products. Mark has learned to ward off basic bugs such as using " or ' in forms. He recognizes (ie hears it) my testing technique now of running my fingers across the keyboard when entering text into fields. I know this version will shake out bugs and that's ok because that's what Alpha is all about.

I think the nature of the application is something to consider too. An avionics system for a 747 is a little different from most consumer web apps. With a web application, if you release an accidental bug, you fix it and all users instantly have the newest version of the code the next time they visit the website. It's tough to patch the software on a 747, especially after the bug has manifested itself. :( Having said that, the one thing that we pride ourselves on is a big focus on QA. I think you know our QA director managed large teams at companies like Symantec and she built the BBC's digital television QA lab in London from the ground up. So when we release software, web app or no, it usually works. :)

My bad. You're absolutely right. Just to clarify, the meta description is used as a fallback if the searched term doesn't appear in the text on the page. Good point about optimizing for appearances. Probably worth a blog entry of it's own.

Don't be. London is built to handle terrorism way better than most other cities. You'll notice no bins in the tube station, camera's on every street, more cops per square mile than most cities. It's all a legacy of the IRA era. I was a block from the Admiral Duncan pub when it got nail bombed in '99 by a neo-nazi. We heard the thump of the bomb going off and seconds later a bobby was running towards us shouting RUN!! That was scary. But within minutes the whole area was cordoned off with a medivac chopper on the scene and it was bustling with police and emergency services. The bomber was arrested the same night from CCTV footage. London's been dealing with terrorism in one form or another for decades. Al Qaeda is just the latest blip and, so far in London they're a lot less sophisticated than the IRA. Mark.

If you're in the Canary Wharf area, check out Fish (a restaurant) on the waterfront for some simple but great seafood - and if the weather's nice, which it should be this time of year, sit outside and enjoy the view. If you're feeling flush, check out Ubon (by Nobu) about 100 meters down from Fish and up the stairs. There's also a really cool health club in the same vicinity as Ubon - can't remember the name - but it has the most awesome spa with river stones etc.. Also, take a walk in Hyde Park along the serpentine at around 9pm at night. It should still be light and there's a nice buzz in the area. If you want the very best tequila bar in London, check out Cafe Pacifico in Covent Garden (the barman's name is Pablo and he's Columbian) or it's smaller but vibier sister bar, La Perla in the same area. Can you tell I miss London? ;) Mark.

Hi Reson8rs, Definitely. LineBuzz works on any web page, in any browser and on any operating system. We don't require any browser plugins or extensions and we aren't tied to blogs or blog hosting platforms. So to answer your question, LineBuzz would definitely work on a wiki. In fact you've given me an idea. We run our own LineBuzz wiki at wiki.linebuzz.com. I think I'll install LineBuzz there to make it more interactive. I'm the founder of LineBuzz, so I'm obviously not an objective source of info. But what I love about our product is that it adds context to a comment. Rather than having to re-describe which part of a blog entry or web page you're referring to, people know exactly what you're referring to when you post an inline comment. Regards, Mark Maunder.

Good idea. I'll add it. Yeah, lavender does get a little old doesn't it. :( The next version will have a widget customization wizard. We're hoping to have it out in a week or 2. It's, understandably, one of our most requested features. To answer your question about LBACmnt, we dynamically inject a stylesheet into the page with our basic classes. LBACmnt is not one of them though. It's a class simply used for tracking purposes. One of the things it's used for is to figure out if you're trying to comment over text that already has an inline comment. BTW, I've been thinking about adding an API to give developers like yourself a bit more control. But I'll probably hold off until the feature set has stabilized. So perhaps in a month or two. Mark.

Hi Rick! Welcome to LineBuzz. Looks like you found a way to style your comment text. You can use advanced mode and use standard CSS properties in the comment: and commentMouseOver: sections. We're going to be introducing a wizard interface soon to help make this a LOT easier. Sorry that it's a little clunky right now, but LineBuzz is very very new, and we're still playing catchup with the amount of interest we're getting. We're rolling out a big internationalization release in the next 48 hours. Regards, Mark Maunder LineBuzz Founder & CEO.

Sorry RanyingWei but we don't support MySpace. LineBuzz manipulates the document object model of your page in order to capture your selected text and to re-inject comments into your page. The only way to do this effectively is using the Javascript DOM API. Unfortunately there are a few sites out there that do not support Javascript. MySpace is one of them. The hosted version of Wordpress is another one. But there are many blog platforms that do support Javascript, including TypePad and Blogger.com, two of the largest blogging platforms. Regards, Mark Maunder.

by mark 25 months 25 days ago at "TechnoPark: Stylish...".
Please let us know if you experience any slowness. We've specifically built linebuzz for speed. Your comments only load when a user clicks on commented text. When the page loads, we send a series of numbers to and from our servers. We don't send large chunks of text when the page loads. So it should be very fast. Again, please let us know if you experience any slowness. Mark.
by mark 25 months 25 days ago at "TechnoPark: Stylish...".
What we've found is that most bloggers get one or two pieces of text highlighted per blog entry, and then those pieces of text get lots of comments. So it generally stays pretty clean I think.

I think there are some businesses that require vast amounts of capital to get off the ground and others that you can bootstrap on a few extra bucks a month in hosting fees. Either way I think it's very important to validate your business idea as far as possible before raising outside funding. Once you do get funding, it becomes much more time, energy and money consuming to switch to another business model. I don't think it's wrong to switch - many businesses start as one thing and learn from their customers they should be doing another thing. Just do it while you're nimble. Mark.

We're here to help. I noticed another problem on your blog. I just posted an entry and it didn't appear. I'm working on that now. Leave it installed so I can debug the problem. I think it's because I posted next to the Google AdSense code. It should work so I'm fixing it. I'll let you know when I'm done. Mark.
by mark 25 months 28 days ago at "Buzz This!".
OK, I found it. You have a script installed that is not behaving well and is probably affecting other scripts and widgets on your page. The script is the following: <script src='http://tinyurl.com/2b5ojn' type='text/javascript'></script> The reason it's behaving badly is it hooks into the onload event of your page and removes any other scripts that use onload. Here's the line of code that it uses: window.onload = ppp_init; That prevents anything else from loading after your page has loaded. My suggestion is that you remove this script from your page. That will probably make lineBuzz work and anything else that relies on window.onload will also work. Regards, Mark.
by mark 25 months 28 days ago at "Buzz This!".
by mark 25 months 28 days ago at "Buzz This!".
OK I found the problem. Another script on your page is causing an error. You might not have noticed it before because you don't have a javascript debugger activated in your browser. But I have one and it pops up an error in Internet Explorer and Firefox. You should fix it because users who visit your site who do have a javascript debugger get an error that pops up. The line that is causing the error is directly below the line that starts with: function ws_results The line number is 2692. I suggest you either remove the script or fix it. That will make LineBuzz work. LineBuzz doesn't execute because that script stops javascript from executing in the browser. I hope that helps. Let us know if there's anything more we can do. Mark

Good question. I'm an immigrant myself. I moved here in 2003 and live in Seattle. Historically the US has benefited greatly from immigrants. Think Einstein and Godel. The neo-cons are turning away brilliant foreign minds with this xenophobic policy and culture they are propagating. Lets hope it changes with the next election.

I used to check my PageRank obsessively until I noticed a gradual decline in the correlation between my traffic and pagerank. For about 4 months I had the pagerank greyed out on my google toolbar, and was getting a ton of SE traffic from them. Things like the Hilltop algorithm have superseded PR I think.

Same here. Most days I'm really frustrated with the current administration and how they're handling things. Then other days I'm reminded of Sept 11 for whatever reason and how I felt in the immediate aftermath - kind of like "lets do something - anything - lets just kick some ass". So I have a sense of why we rushed back into Iraq. But then, I'm no leader of a superpower and you'd think things would have been thought through a bit more. Mark.

Hi Sue, Great blog, and I see you're one of the first to use our customization features since we launched yesterday. I thought I'd comment on methods to increase traffic via SEO. I used to run a job search engine which was one of Time Mag's top 50 websites of '05. We provided a search, but simultaneously got a lot of traffic from the non-vertical search engines like Google. Bloggers generate a lot of new content daily which search engines love and that's one of the keys to promoting any website to the SE's. And you've mentioned that in your article. But another key is letting the search engines know about that content. Self proclaimed SEO gurus will tell you all sorts of things, like 'your page must validate with the W3C or you'll get ignored'. It's all poppycock. SE's are in the business of finding valuable and interesting pages and not all of those have been optimized. But those valuable and interesting pages do have certain characteristics llike, they usually have a lot of backlinks from high quality websites like Digg.com, Slashdot, Techcrunch, etc. So - you probably know this - but one of the keys is to let high quality websites know about you and get them to link to you. Another key is making sure that those high quality sites are talking about the same stuff you are. Never, ever, use link farms, link exchange programs and anything else that gaurantees you results and charges you money. Sure, spend money on pay per click ads if you want, but never spend money on SEO. Search engines are in the business of protecting themselves against commercial SEO and you may end up getting penalized or banned. Hope that helps. I noticed you've got the comment bubble configured to be quite narrow. You may want to expand that a bit. Just a suggestion. Regards, Mark Maunder Founder & CEO LineBuzz.com

I think so. :) I'm working on a fix for your site. We don't officially support chinese characters yet, but we have about 4 chinese bloggers now, so don't worry, we're going to take care of you guys. I'll email you when that fix is live. Mark Maunder.

If you're commenting a blog post, my guess is it's not garbage. We use a captcha (an image with numbers) to prevent spam and have some secret sauce in the server side code to back up the captcha.

Yes, LineBuzz works on any web page as long as the text is contained in DIV or P tags. And that's almost always the case. We are just marketing it to Blogs because we love the Blogsphere and it's the most interesting use case.

Hi Guys. Welcome to LineBuzz! :)
by mark 26 months ago at "Buzz This!".
Hi Neil, We are putting together a TypePad guide, but here's a quick summary of how to do this: 1. Log into Typepad 2. Select your weblog 3. Click the "Design" tab 4. Click "Manage your saved designs" on the right under design shortcuts 5. Select the checkbox of your current design and click the "Convert to advanced" button. (You can undo advanced later because it clones the design) 6. Confirm you want to convert to advanced. 7. Your new advanced template will be in the list. Click 'Apply' on the right of the advanced template. 8. You should now see a list of templates you can edit. 9. Click on sidebar and edit that. 10. Place the javascript directly below the text that says "<!-- sidebar -->" at the top. You can also put it lower down if you'd like, below the <MTBlogIfArchives> I hope that helps. We will put together a guide soon with screenshots. We're also hoping to get this automated with typepad. Regards, Mark.

Working on this too and we're releasing something awesome this evening that'll save you having to scroll up/down between the "comment inline" link and the text you want to comment.
by mark 26 months 1 day ago at "StartupSquad".
We already give you the ability to customize the way comment links look and the bubble that pops up. Will add widget customization too. We're also working on a wizard interface on the Get Buzzd page so you don't have to know CSS.
by mark 26 months 1 day ago at "StartupSquad".
Also added this to our bug tracker. Good idea.

Great idea. Just added it to our bug tracker.
by mark 26 months 1 day ago at "StartupSquad".
Just to clarify, it doesn't matter where your readers post the comments. They will show up on the home page, blog entry page or archive pages as long as you have the widget installed. This was a hard problem for us to crack without affecting server performance, but we've done it and it works.

I'm aware that the captcha is hard to read. Funny story. When I was giving the presentation on Wednesday, I couldn't read the captcha and someone in the audience shouted that what I thought was an 'i' was actually an R. We're fixing this with a release this evening.
by mark 26 months 1 day ago at "StartupSquad".
We've fixed this. Anything inside a DIV, P tag will now work. So blog platforms like Xanga that put blog entries inside TD tags instead of DIV's now work fine.
by mark 26 months 1 day ago at "StartupSquad".
Hi Vivek, Sorry I didn't give you a heads up. We did a presentation to a small group of fellow entrepreneurs in Seattle on Wednesday and a Seattle times reporter snuck in and covered it on Thurs. Then Seattle PI picked up on it on Friday. We're officially launching Monday and I was going to let all our blogger friends know then.
by mark 26 months 4 days ago at "Buzz This!".
Joe, I set my test Blogger account up with your template and I've figured out where you need to put the linebuzz javascript: Put it directly below the following two lines: <!-- Begin #sidebar --> <div id="sidebar"> Make sure you get it below the <div id="sidebar">. You can put it further down if you want it below the "About me" stuff. That will make it appear in the side bar and take up less real-estate. Mark.
by mark 26 months 4 days ago at "Buzz This!".
It's on the page but it's appeared right at the top and is taking up the full page. Can you move the javascript so it's above the "Links" on the sidebar? It'd probably look a heck of a lot better there. You could also email me the template and I'll insert it, or let me know which one you have selected and I'll reproduce it with my blogger account and guide you.
by mark 26 months 4 days ago at "Buzz This!".
Fixed the bug (and it's in production now). Your first login wasn't updating your last access time. I guess we hadn't tested what happens if you access a users profile right after they register. :)
by mark 26 months 4 days ago at "Buzz This!".

Hi Joe, Quit giving away our features before we release them! Actually Ryan and Tony suggested this last night. It'll be implemented before we launch on Monday. Thanks for the further validation though. Mark.

Duh. I screwed up the link to the Seattle Times. Fixed it now.
by mark 26 months 4 days ago at "Buzz This!".
It's funny, during the presentation I made fun of you Tony and then it came time to type in the captch and I couldn't tell if a letter was an I or an L, and someone in the audience said it's an R, and I couldn't believe it when it was. This captcha SUCKS right now so I'm going to shop for a better one starting this weekend, once I have some more serious issues out of the way. It's just the image quality that I can't take. Also I'll probably reduce the number of letters for now to something like 3, and then increase it if that becomes a problem.

"I'm not" should be "I'm now". Typo.
by mark 26 months 6 days ago at "LBlog".
OK, so it's 1am and I think I've nailed this bug. Lets see if it worked. :) Laurel your whole blog is inside a single DIV. The original LB algorithm considered blocks of text to be anything inside a div. I'm not looking at DIV's, P elements and H1,2,3 tags. I didn't do this originally because of performance but I found a faster way to do a few other things so I can do these other elems now. The nice side effect is that users can edit their blog entries without losing their comments, as long as any paragraphs that received comments remain unchanged.
by mark 26 months 6 days ago at "Buzz This!".
Ahem. Of course I know what that is: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lolcat
by mark 26 months 6 days ago at "LineBuzz Changelog...".
Our developer was too lazy to implement that. ;) Good idea!
by mark 26 months 6 days ago at "LineBuzz Changelog...".
OK will do. BTW, the widget doesn't work on your blog, but I have my DOM inspector out now and I've figured out why. All your blog entries are wrapped in a single DIV. Looks like paragraphs are in P elements though so I can use that and am working on something now.
by mark 26 months 6 days ago at "MEET TIM".

So another widget that shows "What I'm Buzzing" (not sure if that's the best phrase) but stuff that you've highlighted and commented on in other peoples blogs that have linebuzz installed. That's brilliant. How much do you charge for these ideas of yours? ;) I'm totally going to do this. First I got bugs to fix.
by mark 26 months 6 days ago at "LineBuzz Changelog...".
Thanks Laurel. I'm working on both of these right now.
by mark 26 months 7 days ago at "Tony Wright (dot...".
Thanks for the mention Tony. :) Perl and I have a love hate relationship. It's possibly the fastest loosely typed language for web apps. But then you invent a new OO syntax every time you write a new app. And the Unicode support drives me to drink.
by mark 26 months 7 days ago at "LineBuzz Changelog...".
I mean to add... do you think we should increase it?
by mark 26 months 7 days ago at "LineBuzz Changelog...".
I guess the idea is you're adding context to your comments and you don't need a whole paragraph of context. Also, once you select text and comment it you prevent someone else from selecting a subset of that text and commenting only that. They are forced to reply to your larger selection. So they lose finer granularity of context. (I can't believe I just said granularity of context.)
by mark 26 months 7 days ago at "Buzz This!".
Cool, thanks Tony. What version of Safari? I have an apple next to me as I write this and it works perfectly in Safari 2.0.4. We actually used 3 undocumented features in safari to implement this so if it's a different version, then I'm not surprised.
by mark 26 months 7 days ago at "Buzz This!".
We found over 30 companies that are providing some sort of web annotation, but they all require you to install something in your browser. One of them makes you use their servers as a sort of proxy. The problem with client-side stuff is that only those readers who have installed the plugin see the comments or annotations. With LineBuzz, you install once and everyone has it.
by mark 26 months 7 days ago at "Buzz This!".
Thanks Ryan! Lots of bugs to fix, but the fundamentals work I think. Why don't you join us on Wednesday evening at the Capitol Hill Library Seattle Tech Startup meeting conf. We're demo'ing it there there's a great pub everyone hangs out at afterward.

Funny I was thinking about this a few days ago. I'd pay $5 a month for that. Actually (now I remember) I was thinking Google should add it to their office suite. I suspect most of the companies that use Google's office suite are like us - small very techie startups.
