This is really funny! I found myself clicking through to the next one and the next one...

You have to wonder what that guy was thinking stringing you along for so long. Your plan for next time makes sense letting them know up front - that way both parties can track progress.

Assuming you weren't able to put up more cash, for next time would it have been possible to set early deliverables that if weren't met, you could fire him and hire someone else? What might those early deliverables have been to clue you in that this guy was a bozo?

I really like the detailed steps in the How we work section. Shows that you know your stuff.

Anyone have a long word that can only be typed with a left hand?

Thank you for the suggestions. #2 is straightforward. About #1, what about if someone has replied to your comment, should you still be able to edit it then? If so, the reply may not make sense or apply anymore. Maybe add the ability to edit comments unless someone has replied?

Your CAPS/underlining are a very cool way to show the readers the text has an inline comment. Thanks for using LineBuzz and if you have any feature suggestions, please just let us know.

If LineBuzz comments aren't traditional, what are they? I looked up the antonym (opposite meaning for those of us who ditched or slept through English class) and came up with these: Antonyms: fresh, new, unusual, abnormal, unaccustomed, uncharacteristic, Bohemian, nonconforming, unconventional, untraditional, incautious, left-wing, liberal, progressive, radical, revolutionary, exotic, foreign, strange, uncommon, uncustomary, unorthodox, different, irregular, offbeat, unfamiliar Hmm, I really like nonconforming, radical, revolutionary and offbeat.

You make a really good point. Having worked at largish companies, I remember giving up countless weekends for a deadline which seemed so artificial. I did it to keep my boss happy, he/she did it to keep their boss happy and the CEO who owns .00000000000001% wants to keep the shareholders happy. With startups, your contribution (or lack of) is very noticable and measurable which is where some of that physic energy is probably derived.

Yep, that's exactly what happened down to the $%!& shouting. Power in numbers!

I used BugHost.com http://www.bughost.com/ for a short time. Their Lite version is free up to 5 users and 1 project.

I've thought about this and part of the answer is not sweating the small stuff as much. Some bugs are forgiven especially at launch time as long as the overall experience is good. Another reason is the dev guy is quite seasoned now in releasing new products. Mark has learned to ward off basic bugs such as using " or ' in forms. He recognizes (ie hears it) my testing technique now of running my fingers across the keyboard when entering text into fields. I know this version will shake out bugs and that's ok because that's what Alpha is all about.
